STOP Rescue is funded by private donations from individuals just like you.  If you are saddened by the homeless pet population, and would like to make a difference in an animals life; if you already have a full house, or are not able to own a pet, this is one of the best ways that you can make that difference.  STOP Rescue  continues to provide a safe home to dogs awaiting a new home because of your donations.

Penny’s Perpetual Fund was created when STOP rescued her in June 2014 and it was clear she would need two extensive surgeries to remove a large cancerous tumor, as well as extensive dental work.  Because of Penny’s plight, and much-needed donations received for her surgeries, STOP created Penny’s Perpetual Pet Fund.  This Fund will now assist the local community and defray costs for necessary vet services for cats and dogs who might have been euthanized at local high-kill shelters and/or to help the local community, providing financial assistance to others who cannot afford the high-cost of vet bills.

Contact S.T.O.P. at 661-823-4100, menu #2, to get information regarding low cost spay and neuter programs. We have a limited number of spay and neuter vouchers for low income families to assist in the cost of altering your animals. The most important thing we can do to stop the overpopulation is to spay or neuter our pets.  This simple act would prevent thousands of animals from being abused, abandoned or euthanized in animal shelters.  One unaltered female dog can produce 67,000 puppies in 6 years.  One female cat can produce 370,000 kittens in seven years. These are staggering numbers, please help by spaying or neutering your dogs or cats.

Transport Fund - Created to rescue/transport dogs/cats from high-kill shelters to other states where there is a shortage of pets so they will be successfully adopted.  Thanks to working directly with Wings of Rescue, and certain local animal shelters, STOP was able to coordinate the successful transport of many dogs/cats.  To date, over 100 pets are alive and thriving thanks to this endeavor.
